Hi all, selling this rare instrument, only eight units made.
First class refractor APO views with this aperture, the stars appear as extremely sharp, bright, and perfectly pinpointed images thanks to their low central obstruction and excellent wavefront correction.
The premium optics for the Mistral series were famously figured by Opticon (a legendary Dutch optical firm led by Harrie Rutten and his team), known for producing near-flawless wavefronts. The Mistral 250 features an incredibly small central obstruction of only 60 mm (24%).
OTA is made of Pertinax, primary is Zerodur and mechanics of the focuser are similar at a Meniskas180 with retractable dewshield, weight is 17kg.
