This is an older C8, which I am told is a Celestar or Compustar or
some such drivel. The optics are in very good condition and perform
well. Probably late '70's or early '80's.
The scope was used by an amateur who no longer can observe, and I can
tell you little about it other than it was hardly used. He was an
asteroid freak who did mostly photo work with a Tak astrograph.
The photo shows the fork and some accessories, but the only item
included is the OTA. No diagonal or finder or accessories.
The fork and wedge assembly are available but there is no controller
for the motors (stepper type). The tripod, a heavier one than comes
with the C8, is also available.
The motofocuser shown has no controller, but I will throuw it in for
$40 with the OTA.
Prefer money order or cash if picked up. Scope is in Trenton, so
pcikup or delivery is a possilbility in the area.
OTA alone, $430
w/ motofocus $470
w/ fork and wedge assy $580
whole mess w/tripod $795 (hell of a deal)
Buyer pays packing and shipping via your choice. I would guess the
OTA shipping weight is about 25 lbs or so.
