Celestron NexStar Evolution 8 HD with StarSense, model 12096. Complete kit, near-mint condition, very light use.
8 inch EdgeHD aplanatic Schmidt-Cassegrain, f/10, 2032mm focal length, StarBright XLT coatings, on the NexStar Evolution single-fork alt-az mount with built-in WiFi and an internal lithium battery. Runs from the SkyPortal app with no cables and no hand control at all.
Condition: the factory protective film is still on the hand control screen. It has barely been used. Corrector is clean - no haze, no fungus, no coating marks. Smoke-free, pet-free home.
Included: the complete StarSense AutoAlign system, camera and StarSense hand control, both present and working. StarSense points the mount at the sky and aligns itself. Note that the StarSense hand control does not function without its camera, so a complete kit matters. Also included: star diagonal and eyepiece, tripod, power supply.
Context on price: this model is 3199 new and is currently out of stock at Celestron. Celestron's own certified-used price for this exact model is 2699.
Local pickup in Cave Creek, Arizona, north of Phoenix. An 8 inch SCT is fragile and I would rather hand it to you than ship it. You are welcome to set it up and look through it before any money changes hands. Cash at pickup.
