Celestron NexStar Evolution 8 Edge HD + Many Extras

Celestron NexStar Evolution 8 Edge HD + Many Extras

For sale: (Pickup Only) An excellent 2 year old C8 Evolution HD with many extras. I want to sell this as a complete package. I do not want to break down the package and sell individual components. Every part of this package is in excellent condition. The photos are untouched.

I am asking only $2,200 for the entire package, which includes over $4,500 worth of equipment:

1. The OTA with superb optics**
2. Original collimation screws have been replaced with hex screws, making collimation extremely easy and precise.
3. Evolution Mount in excellent condition and perfect working order
4. Standard steel tripod
5. Baader 2” Click Lock visual back
6. Antares 2” to 1.25” adapter
7. Farpoint 2” desiccant cap
8. Starlight Feather Touch Focuser
9. Celestron Dew Heater Ring 8”
10. Celestron Dew Heater controller 2X
11. Talent Cell lithium battery for the heater so the heater does not drain the mount’s battery.
12. SkySync GPS … for super easy alignment no matter where you set up.
13. SSAG - StarSense Autoguider
14. Nexstar + hand controller
15. Mount to hold the hand controller when not in use
16. Vixen red dot pointer
17. Scattered-light shield
18. All the original connector cables plus extras to make it more convenient when attaching accessories to the mount.
19. Celestron soft case for the OTA
20. The original inexpensive parts that come with a new Evolution scope and mount

Assembling this system at new prices would cost more than $4,500, so $2,200 (firm) is a steal.

I am the original owner. I used this outfit fewer than a dozen times doing public outreach with fellow club members. It presented stunning views to those who looked through it. It’s by far the best SCT I’ve owned. — A few months after buying the equipment unexpected illness kept me from using the equipment. I held onto this setup for almost two years hoping to use it again. It has been kept in an air-conditioned, smoke-free environment.

** Note: there is a sub-millimeter dust particle adherent to the back side of the corrector plate (as shown in the photos. It is inconsequential and does not affect visual views or photography.

I have the original shipping boxes, but I cannot ship this equipment. So I offer it for pickup only (I am in the Houston TX area).
Payment: I prefer direct funds transfer via Zelle, cash, wire transfer, or US postal money order. PayPal accepted if buyer adds 3.49% for PayPal fees.

 Thanks for looking!
