For sale is a two year old Celestron Nexstar 8SE in excellent condition that has only been used six times. Focal ratio/length is f/10 @ 2032mm. This is a really nice telescope weighing less than 38 pounds when fully put together making it easy to move and set up. The focuser is silky smooth and a pleasure to use and the optics produce sharp images of stars, planets, and dsos. The mount is stable and dampens quickly. Also the mount accepts Vixen style dovetail bars so other scopes can be used with it as well.
Featured items include the Nexstar hand controller with a 40K item database, 1.25" star diagonal, Celestron 25mm Plossl eyepiece, red dot finder, bubble level, serial port cable, wrench, Nexremote software, cigarette lighter DC plug power cord so you don't have to use the on board battery supply (cord is not included in the manufacturer's package), instructions, and the orignal shipping boxes. I will also include an Orion 6x30 RACI finder with mount. All that's needed for the finder is the mounting bracket.
I recently bought this scope back from my daughter as she is pursuing another hobby and needed the cash to do so. I have no need for another telescope and am offering this to you. In the interest of full disclosure I sent the mount back to Celestron to have the altitude motor replaced before we even had first light. Upon return the mount works great but has seen little use over the past two years. It's been stored in a clean smoke free environment.
I will cover Paypal fees and shipping costs in CONUS. Please email me with any questions you have and thanks for looking!
