The gears and motors on the mount sound excellent – better than my CGEM II!
The mount performs great goto’s – targets end up in the eyepiece just about every time!
The optics on the optical tube appear excellent. See the picture of the Orion Nebula shot with a Hyperstar and IDAS filter on a CGEM II mount.
The hand controller uses the usb cable for computer communications, not the old RS-232 serial cable.
Compatible with CPWI (Celestron Planet Wave International) alignment software.
The pathetic standard red-dot finder has been replaced by a laser. Just point the laser to your target! (Caution: This is a powerful laser. Use extreme care!)
Includes a top Vixen dovetail. Great for adding other accessories (like a guidescope) or as an extra handle for carrying and installing / removing the optical tube from the mount.
Includes an extra CGE / Losmandy dovetail bar for a more secure attachment to another mount.
