Let me tell you first of all that I have treated my telescope set up better than I would have treated my son.

Immaculate NexStar 8SE , utilized 5 times. Never had any issues and I've been able in one sitting to pull out some incredible astrophotos that you can review on my cloudynights Gallery ( look under username "menefist" )

( I can help you out with a lot of tips and information on how to exploit the 8SE to achieve good astrophotography )

The Telescope comes with the complete package:

- Official Celestron NexStar Tripod + tray
- GoTO motorized arm mount
- 8" OTA + starpointer finder scope
- Full eyepiece set with metal carry-on case ( all PLOSSL 32mm, 25mm, 17mm, 13mm, 8mm, 6mm, Celestron 2x Barlow, Star Diagonal 1.25"
- Six 1.25", colored, lunar and planetary eyepiece filters - Included are Kodak Wratten #12, #21, #25, #56, #58A, and #80A
- Original Manual
- The Firmware has been fully updated as of today for both motor and Handheld controller, now able to do an easy polar alignment if placed on a wedge ( I've taken those picture on a wedge and it works perfectly with exposures up to 40 seconds, not guided )
- Settings on the mount have been configured already for minimum Backlash ( this took me a very long time to figure it out ) and perfect Balance. You won't have to configure anything on the software.

Obviously I've invested some money in a lot of EXTRAS that I am suggesting to be purchased in addition:
( all the following accessories are kept pristine and flawless )

- Cover/Shrouds that will cover the whole scope mounted on the tripod and protect it completely from Sun, Water and dust ( Astro-Gizmo silver shrouds ) $15
- Fine Focus Knob from (ScopeStuff) to precisely to manoeuvre the small focuser with fine sensitivity and little vibration $15
- Bahtinov focus mask to get easily a dead spot on focus ( this was essential for astrophotography ) $10 [SOLD]
- AstroZap heated dew shield ( what a life saver, a must ) $50 [SOLD]
- Celestron focal reducer f/6.3 ( again , a must if you are planning to do any astrophotography, but I used all the time for observing and it gave me great wider field of view with crisp details ) $80 [SOLD]
- Visual back adaptor for 2" compression ring( needed in order to use 2" eyepieces ) $15 [SOLD]
- Antares 99% Dielectric 2" Diagonal ( perfect fit for the NexStar 8SE ) $100
- Explore Scientific 18mm 82 degree 2" $120 [SOLD]
- Barlow 2", 2x with 1.25" adapter $40
- Celestron T-adapter for prime focus ( #93633-A ) $10

Cheers!
