Celestron NexStar 6SE telescope bought in 2007, still virtually unused. It was set up a few times to look at this and that, but I discovered that I'd rather use binoculars and read about astronomy than risk my back. It would be nice to find it a loving home, and it would make a good Christmas present for a budding astronomer.
With the included accessory kit of eyepieces and filters it cost well over $1000, but a new one without goodies can be had for about $800. It also includes manuals, tripod, original packaging (except for tripod), and controller with database. I do not know offhand if it's upgradeable to the latest software configuration.
The photos show -
* The scope body and packaging.
* The attached hand control with cable.
* The tripod and adapter plate.
* The right-angle adapter and small guide scope, shown in their plastic bags.
* AC and cigarette-lighter power dongles.
* The instruction manual, dated 2006 (which is more recent than I recalled).
* Celestron NexRemote software disk, version 1.6.14 (W/NT, W/2000, W/XP).
* Serial to phone-jack adapter cable for remote control.
* Celestron "The Sky" astronomy software version 5.
* A large Celestron Power Tank battery supply (with manual) which has two plug adapters and both large and red flashlights.
The accessory kit was a Scope City special, but the box says "Celestron" and was sold to me as an add-on. It contains -
* Keys for the box.
* Small flashlight (with manual) which you shake to get light, if your arm will take the stress..
* Celestron filters #56 (green), #21 (red), #80A (blue), and #96 (skylight?)
* Celestron 2x Barlow eyepiece .
* Celestron 12.5 mm Plossl eyepiece.
* Celestron 25 mm Plossl eyepiece.
* Celestron 32 mm Plossl eyepiece.
Buyer pays for shipping of their choice unless they are near Reno or Sacramento.
