Selling my EdgeHD 800 OTA. It's been used probably five times and is in like-new condition both optically and cosmetically. I added several enhancements, which are included in the sale along with the original components that they replaced.
1. It came with the orange CGE dovetail rail, but I replaced that with a more robust ADM D-plate (Losmandy type) with radius blocks.
2. I added two finder scope saddles from Orion so that I could use a different finder scope and place it on either side of the OTA (or use a finder scope on one side and a red-dot sight on the other).
3. I installed the TEMP-est fan system from Deep Space Products to accelerate the equilibration process, which have the red vents. The original vents, which I will include, are black.
4. T-adapter for EdgeHD 800 -- This didn't replace anything but was purchased for doing astrophotography with a DSLR.
Total price for the enhancements if purchased new: $305 (plus any shipping charged by retailers)
Also included are the original accessories:
* 9x50 finder scope and bracket (never used)
* 1.25" star diagonal (never used)
* 40mm (51x) Celestron E-lux Plossl eyepiece (never used)
* 1.25" visual back
* Front dust cap (twist-lock)
I also have the 0.7x reducer-corrector for imaging that I am selling separately, hand-picked and tested for me by a product manager I know at Celestron (since my first one had an issue and was returned). Again, that is not included in this sale, but available separately.
Also not included is the padded case shown in one of the photos. It will also be sold separately.
