Here is a used Celestron 9.25" EdgeHD Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope OTA in great shape.
I am the original owner and purchased this telescope about two years ago. It comes from a smoke-free home. It is now surplus to my needs as I have downsized equipment.
The EdgeHD is an aplanatic Schmidt telescope designed to produce aberration-free images across a wide visual and photographic field of view as the field flattener is built-in.
It also features Mirror clutches - Flexible tension clutches hold the mirror in place and reduce image shift when rotating the tube around the mount
Tube Vents - Cooling vents located on the rear cell allow hot air to be released from behind the primary mirror
Fastar compatibility as the secondary mirror can be removed and a Starizona HyperStar system can be mounted onto the front plate.
Here is what is included:
Celestron 9.25" EdgeHD Telescope Optical Tube Only with StarBright XLT Coatings and Fastar Compatible Optics
9x50 Finderscope
23 mm Luminos Eyepiece - 2"
2" Star Diagonal with 1.25" Adapter
Top Rail is a ADM V Series Dovetail Rail for Celestron 9.25" SCT. This rail can be used to mount an ASIAIR and/or external guide scope.
The bottom mounting rail is for a D Series Losmandy G11 or G811 mount and was purchased specifically for this scope. It is not the standard Celestron rail.
Also includes as shown, the Celestron Reducer Lens .7x - EdgeHD 925 which makes the EdgeHD 9.25" one full F-Stop faster than f/10, reducing the exposure time by half to capture the same brightness of object. This reducer normally sells for $439, but is included with the telescope at no extra cost.
Shipping Costs.
The main telescope will ship in the original box. The estimated the overall packing and shipping costs are in the $150 to $250 range. The shipping costs may be less if you are located closer to Indiana.
The price of $1,800 includes any transfer fees. The buyer would pay the ground shipping costs in the CONUS as described above. I would be willing to split the shipping costs 50:50. Therefore, your packing and shipping costs could be in the $75 to $125 range.
However, if you are located in the Indiana or even the Chicago area, perhaps we can meet halfway and totally negate the high shipping costs.
Will accept money transfer services such as Cash App or Apple Cash. If local, cash is always welcome.
Thanks for looking.
