This telescope was a display model at a Disocvery Store in Long Island

The secondary mirror had been unscrewed and suffered some scratches

I ended up purchasing the scope and reassembled the optics (I have had esperience with Meade optics before and I also own a 12" LX-200)

The primary mirror is in pristine shape and the corrector plate is in very good condition with only a few minor sleeks

I aligned the factory marks and collimated. The scope performs extremely well with pinpoint stars and only a minor halo around the very brightest of stars

The star test is very good

The mechanicals are in excellent shape and almost unused. The tube has a couple of scratches, one minor ding and the mount has one or two minor paint chips, but the front control panel is like new and the plastic wrapping is still around the DEC cable

The tripod is almost as new with no rust only paint scratched off on top where the scope base mates to it

The only other thing is that the scope does not have the front dust cover

I am offering this whle package for $1100 plus shipping

If you are really picky about the optics then you can send the OTA back to Meade for the new UHTC coatings (Around $600)

I have tried to explain the scope as accuratlely as possible and will entertain any addiitonal quesitons (I will reply to emails promptly) and try to answer them as well as I can
