REDUCED - Lunt LS50FHa 50mm H-Alpha Solar Filter / Double Stack Etalon with Case - Free CONUS Shipping

For sale is a Lunt Solar Systems LS50FHa 50mm front-mounted H-alpha solar filter / etalon, serial number 2009310.

This filter was originally acquired along with a Lunt LS60T H-alpha solar telescope and was presumably intended for use as a front-mounted double-stack filter with that telescope. I no longer have the LS60T and therefore have no way to test the LS50FHa.

The filter has been in my possession for some years and has been well stored and kept in its fitted aluminum carrying case. I have not used it in some years, if I ever personally used it at all, and I cannot provide any current assessment of its optical performance. The visible optical surfaces appear good to me, with some minor dust and normal signs of age, but please review the photos carefully and form your own opinion regarding condition.

Because this is an older solar filter and I am unable to test it, I recommend that the buyer contact Lunt Solar Systems regarding inspection, evaluation, or any recommended service before placing it into use. I am selling it as an untested older filter and make no representation regarding its current H-alpha performance.

 Includes:

• Lunt LS50FHa 50mm front-mounted H-alpha filter / etalon
• Serial number 2009310
• Fitted aluminum carrying case

Please note: This is the LS50FHa front etalon only. No telescope, blocking filter, diagonal, adapter, eyepiece, or other accessories are included. A proper compatible blocking filter and complete, correctly configured solar observing system are required for safe use. The buyer is responsible for confirming compatibility and safe configuration before solar observation.
