Orion Atlas EQ-G computerized GoTo mount, significantly upgraded and used exclusively for astrophotography.
Upgrades:
- Sky-Watcher EQ6 Pro control board — improved stepper drivers, native USB-B, ST-4 autoguider port, and SNAP shutter port
- Rovan belt drive mod — both axes
- Fully tuned and serviced
- Replaced stock plastic knobs with knurled stainless steel — a well-known weak point on Atlas/EQ-6 mounts.
Performance notes from actual use: Tracked reliably with an Astronomics AT114EDT. With a Celestron EdgeHD 8" it tracked mostly fine in calm conditions but showed sensitivity to wind.

- Counterweight bar and two counterweights
Local pickup preferred — Portland, Oregon area. Given the weight of the mount and tripod, I'd rather not ship. Local sale also gives you the opportunity to inspect and power it up before committing.
