Losmandy G-11 German Equatorial Mount, the Celestron-branded version ("Mfg. for Celestron by Losmandy, G-11, Made in U.S.A."). I picked this up from an estate sale with plans to convert it to OnStep, but between driving out to dark sites and the logistics of hauling gear, it just never came together. The mount saw very little use from the original owner and is in excellent condition — as you can see from the photos.
What's Included:
- Losmandy G-11 mount head (Celestron version, Made in U.S.A.) - Celestron Digital Drive System, Model 492 — dual-axis (RA and DEC) - Celestron hand controller with RA/DEC directional buttons - Heavy-duty tripod with adjustable legs - Counterweight shaft with 4 counterweights - Losmandy-style dovetail saddle plate (D-plate compatible)
Condition:
Excellent condition with minimal signs of use. Ready to go — freshly cleaned, lubricated, and serviced. No caked-on grease or grime. Electronics fully tested and working — the Model 492 drive powers up and tracks on both axes. Axes move smoothly, setting circles are intact and readable. Clutches have been serviced and engage firmly. Some minor cosmetic scuffs on the tripod legs but nothing that affects function.
Optional add-on: I also have a JTW Manticore Official OnStep Controller (BiSS-C Encoder Edition) with keypad that I originally bought to convert this mount. Add $100 if interested.
