Up for your consideration is a very young, hardly used CEM70G mount and Tripier. I only used it for a few nights myself and the guiding was excellent. I bought it from a a known astrophotographer on AM in new condition. He unfortunately never had a chance to use it because he was going through a work transition and had to sell it.
This is the "G" model equipped with the iGuider and iPolar scopes. Very cool options arguably making this one of the easiest mounts on the market to use. All internal wiring that works fantastic!
DISLOSURES: I put a decent scratch on the saddle plate being stupid. And there are a few scratches on the CW bar where I tightened my homemade CWs (Did I say "Stupid"?). Please see the pictures. Otherwise this setup works excellent. What a pleasure to use this mount. It's truly the smoothest mount I've ever owned. The Tripier in incredibly light considering it capacity. You can pick it up with one hand and yet it is super stable.
I am only selling because I have an Astro-Physics 1600GTO-AE and 1100GTO-AE and this beautiful amount is not seeing any action. While my Astro-Physics mounts are NOT nearly as smooth, they both have Absolute Encoders, so they win.
It does NOT come with factory counterweights. The sale is for the mount and the Tripier only (and the original boxes). I do have the HC but is inoperable. I will throw it in if the buyer wants to send it in for repair (I never needed it because I either use NINA or ASIair).
I do have homemade counterweights I am willing to give with the mount if the buyer so desires. They’re not beautiful, but they do work. One is 13.8 pound and the other is 20.2 pound. FYI - The bolts will need to be replaced with silicone tipped bolts to avoid scratching the CW bar like I did.
Local pick up preferred but will ship at buyer’s expense. Asking $2950.00 for the mount and TriPier. Will host buyer at my house for demonstration!
Thanks,
Tommy
