I have finally made the decision to sell my lightly used Mach2GTO. It has now been over two years since I took the mount outside, and although it makes lovely decoration for my home, I feel that it should be in the hands of someone who can actually put it to good use. I am getting too old (lazy) to deal with setting up and taking down my equipment. Also, I have a 36cm RASA that has been sitting for 6 months waiting to be set up in a permanent location, and the Mach2 is not the correct mount for that endeavor. The Mach2 was my first experience with a truly trouble-free, easy to setup and use mount. I primarily used it to carry a 152mm APO with all of the imaging goodies, and occasionally a C14. I have had multiple mounts from Bisque, Takahashi, Losmandy, Celestron, etc, and if I had only started with the Astro-Physics Mach2GTO, I would have saved a great deal of money and headaches. Of course it wasn't available many years ago as I progressed through the other mounts, but his mount truly makes portable operation a breeze, and it greatly reduces the astrophotography learning curve.
