Celestron Nexstar 4SE and 5SE mount w Nexstar handset

This is a 2014 Celestron Nexstar 4SE and 5SE single arm go-to mount. It will come with its original Nexstar handset.

This drive has the ability to run on batteries OR use a 110v 12v dc wall mount. This is the newer generation, so it has the dovetail quick release mounting; it will hold ANY Vixen or Vixen-clone dovetail plate.

The mount will hold other scopes in this size and weight ratio, like the Nexstar 102 refractor, a specially formatted C90, and even the 127 and 130 maks made in China. It will not hold a C6 as that will be more weight than it is intended to hold. But lightweight 4" refractors and up to 114mm reflectors like the Nexstar SLTs should be just fine.

This mount responds perfectly and slews and clocks in both RA and Dec. The controller lights up completely and every button works just fine. No sticky buttons. Cosmetics overall are excellent for its age, but not better than that. No paint fade and no chips to the metal or plastic form.

There are (2) issues, hence the lower price. 1:  The arm base is loose. You'll have to go inside to tighten the bolts. It will still clock and slew without issue and even when holding a scope, but the go-to will be slightly off because the arm has extra movement. Just know that the gears and motors are NOT affected by this.

2:  The handset works perfect, BUT the screen is out of alignment. You can see in the last photos that the LCD screen works fine, but that the images on the screen are tilted to the left. I don't know how to fix this, but left unfixed all will works just fine.
