This is the Alt/Az version of the GM1000 equatorial mount. It has been placed on a tripod for a few minutes in my house but it has never been powered up or used. It is the latest version with the version 3 controller. I received it in January of this year. i am the original owner, purchased from TEC.
It is very easy to set up. This is the new version with the EPS update so the capacity is 66 pounds. Balancing is minimal -- you just have to have "about 50%" of the scope's weight on the counterweight bar and you are done. It has absolute encoders in it just like the GM1000 so it never forgets where you are.
New would be about $12,800 with the soft cases, power cord (it doesn't come with one!), and two 6kg counterweights.
I have all of the original shipping boxes. I also have a new Berlebach Planet GM1000 tripod head if the buyer would like to use their Planet.
I am selling because I am just not using it. It is too nice of a mount to keep sitting in my closet.
