MLAstro SHG Spectroheliograph + IMX678M Camera, 10mm Slit & Case

For sale is my MLAstro spectroheliograph system, including the recommended MLAstro IMX678M monochrome USB 3.0 camera, 10mm slit, accessories, and fitted aluminum carrying case.

This is a very capable solar imaging instrument for anyone interested in moving beyond conventional narrowband solar filters and exploring spectroheliography at multiple spectral lines.

The SHG is marked for operation at several useful wavelengths, including:

• H-alpha
• CaK
• H-beta
• H-gamma
• He D3
• Mg b1
• O2(b)

The instrument has precision micrometer adjustments for alignment/focusing along with the rotational adjustment needed for spectral-line setup.

Included:

• MLAstro SHG spectroheliograph
• MLAstro IMX678M monochrome camera
• 10mm slit, intended for use with approximately 100mm-class telescopes
• USB 3.0 camera cable
• Additional cable/accessories shown in photos
• Fitted foam-lined aluminum carrying case

Everything is in good used condition and has been stored in the case when not in use. There are normal minor cosmetic signs of use, but nothing that affects operation.

I purchased this for solar imaging and have enjoyed experimenting with spectroheliography, but I’m consolidating my solar equipment and concentrating on a different imaging setup.

This is a nice opportunity for someone who wants a nearly complete SHG package without having to separately source the camera, slit, and case.

Asking $1,100 OBO.

I would prefer to sell it as a complete package.

Buyer pays shipping if not picked up locally. I will pack it carefully in the fitted case and outer shipping carton.
