I'm selling a very rare version of a Unitron 8x50 Finder/Refractor. I believe this was manufactured by Nihon Seiko in a limited run sometime in the early to mid 1970's. The scope is very robust and well made with nice mechanics.
It's equipped with a smooth helical focuser. The focusing range of about 13-14mm and has no problem reaching focus with the supplied 25mm Unitron Plossl eyepiece. The prism diagonal threads on to the 24mm male thread of the drawtube.
There are a few issues to mention:
-There appears to be a central haze visible under reflected light. I have not made any attempts to clean it since I was content with the image
-The prism shows internal inclusions/spotting within the glass body.
-There are various small paint chips in the tube assembly
The supplied 25mm plossl is clear and puts up nice views. Please see the pictures for the most accurate representation of the item and reach out if you have any questions. Tripod, mount, and clam shell in the one picture not included. Price is $125.00 shipped to CONUS. PayPal only please. Thanks for looking!
