Description
For Full-Aperture Solar Safety for 6" Refractors and Premium 5" APOs
This Thousand Oaks SolarLite filter is sized for larger refractors like the Celestron C-150R, C-150HD 6" achromats, and the highly regarded Takahashi FS-128 APO. If your telescope was built to deliver high-quality planetary and deep-sky views, it deserves a solar filter that performs with the same level of optical precision—and that’s exactly what SolarLite delivers.
At the heart of the filter is Thousand Oaks' proprietary SolarLite film, which provides the sharpness of glass with the toughness of a polymer. It produces a crisp, evenly illuminated yellow-orange solar disk with excellent contrast, all while resisting pinholes, creases, and surface wear that can affect performance and safety.
The precision aluminum cell is lined with felt for a firm, scratch-free fit on your optical tube or dew shield. Despite its large size, the filter is lightweight and won’t affect your scope’s balance, making it ideal for backyard setups or eclipse fieldwork.
