Thousand Oaks 2" H-Beta Nebula Filter (LP-4) - Very Good Condition
Up for sale is a premium Thousand Oaks Optical 2" H-Beta Line Filter (Model LP-4). This 2-inch format filter is the ultimate tool for wide-field, low-magnification hunting of ultra-faint hydrogen-beta emission targets. Thousand Oaks filters are highly regarded for their steep cutoff slopes, which maximize target contrast against a completely black sky background. Additionally, their optical coatings are sandwiched securely between glass substrates, making this filter incredibly durable and much easier to clean than standard surface-coated options. It is the definitive filter for pulling out the Horsehead Nebula (IC 434), California Nebula (NGC 1499), and the Cocoon Nebula. The filter is in very good condition. The optics are clean, the coatings are fully intact, and the 2" metal threads are flawless and mount smoothly.
