For sale is a Tele Vue 35mm Panoptic for $185, but there is a reason for the low price.
One evening, I was unscrewing a filter from the 35mm, or so I thought. What I actually did was unscrew the barrel, which holds in the lens elements, as I learned when I heard them hit the ground. So I sent it off to Tele Vue for cleaning and repair.
They replaced the field lens doublet, and determined a small chip on the edge of one of the singlet lenses does not affect the optical path at all. The remaining elements were checked and determined to be ok. See the attached report from Tele Vue.
Ironically, I was planning on selling the 35mm Panoptic anyway, since I hardly ever used it, to fund another purchase. I probably should have just cut my losses, but I couldn't bear tossing such a nice ocular into the garbage, so I had it fixed. I am selling this for the repair cost ($165) plus enough to cover most of the cost of shipping to the buyer and PayPal fees.
So the price is firm. If I don't get any takers, I'll keep it.
