Sold.
For sale is a Pentax XW 7mm SMC eyepiece. It has a 70 degree FOV with 20mm of eye relief and it is razor-sharp to the edges. When I bought it I tested it side by side against the TV Nagler 7mm T6 and it blew the Nagler away: noticeably better contrast, less pincushion, better eye relief, and a twist-up eye cup that won't slip or fold up.
I purchased it new in January 2009. It is in superb condition: Perfect optics and no physical damage at all. Never dropped, no set screw marks, no scratches, no paint loss. The twist-up eyecup works perfectly. Lightly used, with one or two white specks of dust on the eye lens and some very light handling marks on the rubber eye cup as the only evidence that it isn't new. Included is the complete original package including eyepiece, original caps, box, "bolt" style case, instruction/information sheet, and all of the original packaging.
This was one of my favorite eyepieces with my 100mm f/9 refractor, but with my new 200mm f/9.75 scope and my current interest in deep sky objects it is not getting very much use. I need to raise some money for a new mount, so regrettably I need to sell this.
These sell new for $309 to $339, but it is now out of stock at many places. I am selling this copy for $265 including shipping to anywhere in the U.S. Shipping to Canada, Australia & U.K. available but you'll have to pay additional for the actual cost for trackable shipping (International Priority Mail or UPS). PalPal is ok and I'll absorb the fee, or U.S. or Canadian Postal Money Order.
