Leitz 30mm f.l., 88 degree a.f.o.v eyepiece. New and used only a few times, comes with large leather carrier pouch. There are only a few of these premium eyepieces around with none currently available for sale. This eyepiece was one of the last few produced a few months ago. It weighs 1-1/2 lbs. and has the highest quality coatings available in any eyepiece today, from Leitz. The lens coatings are hardly visible, attesting to the highest quality light transmissions these lenses provide. **Read Roland Christen's (Astro-Physics) essay on lens coating visibility adn light througput** The coatings resemble those on my Zeiss Abbe's coatings--not visible. The Leitz lenses are factory installed into the 2 in. eyepiece casing by B/W Optik, Germany. The eye relief is astounding and you won't believe the clarity of looking at deep sky objects with this eyepiece. The views of galaxies and nebula look better through this eyepiece than in many of my other premium 2" eyepieces.
