This is a Baader #2456115 2" BBHS Silver Sitall Mirror Clicklock diagonal that I purchased to use with an APO Triplet refractor. These Baader Silver Mirror diagonals seem to work better in ED Triplets than the Prism diagonals I used before, showing zero residual false color (CA). They also exhibit much less light scatter than the typical 99% Reflectivity Dielectric diagonal, and are able to keep up with good Prism Diagonals as far as sharpness on the planets, the lunar surface and for splitting tight double stars. I sold my APO Triplet to fund the purchase of a larger ED Doublet with a Lanthanum glass mating element, and so am back to using the Baader Prism diagonals, which these ED and Lanthanum glass Doublets seem to prefer. The 2" nosepiece unscrews to reveal true female SCT (2"-24") threads on the diagonal body, enabling this diagonal to be used with SCTs and larger Maks with the appropiate adaptor. The input of the nosepiece is also threaded for 2" filters (M48x0.75). I have measured the effective optical path of this diagonal on several occasions using different scopes, and get a value of 114 mm to the top of the 2" Clicklock clamp.
I'm selling this diagonal for less than half of what it should be worth because it has a sleek and some deposits on the mirror surface that I can't clean off with the usual methods, but which do not seem to affect the performance. Even as it is, this Baader #2456115 Silber Sitall Mirror diagonal still outperforms a typical Dielectric, with less light scatter. It has a large 47.5 mm Clear Aperture--wider than the Field Stop of any 2" eyepiece--and the best thing is that it's collimated. It comes with the original Baader box.
The price of $199.00 includes shipping to anywhere in CONUS, and also the PayPal G&S fee.
