ZWO ASI294 MC Pro

The ZWO ASI294 MC pro is a CMOS camera purchased in 2021 for $999. I want to point out that the ASI294 is a model prior to ZWO eliminating amp glow in their cameras. Many users complained about the amp glow and many users constantly replied that it’s not a problem because it calibrates out with dark frames. I have included a single raw 180” image that was dark calibrated in ASIAir with no hint of amp glow (but it is most definitely there in the 180” dark).

Just for some background, I have a portable astrophotography setup that I’m putting up for sale as individual components. Since I already have a permanent observatory setup for my main imaging, this was only for taking on camping trips with my wife. But, it turns out I rarely set it up at night and soon I stopped packing it. So, despite greatly enjoying putting this system together and loving the ease of setting up and the ease of use, it’s looking for a new home. When I got installed in a permanent observatory, the ASI294 got delegated to my portable system. But, consequently, the equipment has seen very little use. It has been set up outside less than a dozen times including in my backyard testing everything out.
