This is Celestron's hard-sided clamshell carrying case designed for 8" SCT optical tubes and smaller. It will also hold a 4SE or 5SE attached to the SE mount. I just picked up a 6" Evolution and this case is too small for the mount AND the OTA, so I've gone to a soft-sided case and this one is for sale. It's minimally used and practically like brand new. It has a spot about the size of a silver dollar on the bottom edge where it was melted a bit by a propane heater. Please see the last photo. The melted plastic is as hard as a rock, the case is sound, and the damage doesn't affect the functionality in any way. Other than that, it's minty.
I don't have the box so I prefer a local sale in the Phoenix, AZ metro area. These run $280 new. Cash or Paypal only please.
