Takahashi Twin View binoviewer with Star Base branding. Fixed 45-degree angle, 1.25" eyepiece holders, 2" nosepiece. I have been told that Takahashi made these in a single short production run and they don't seem to come up often.
There is a corrector lens in the telescope-side connection, which I have not removed. With a 24mm LE, the image through the binoviewer is roughly twice the scale of the same eyepiece in a star diagonal.
Condition: some light dust in the optics. Housing and barrels are clean with light marks from use. I mounted it on an 80mm f/6.3 refractor with a pair of 24mm LEs and it reached focus with room to spare. Please see the photographs, and ask for more if you'd like them.
Included: the binoviewer, 2" nosepiece, both 1.25" eyepiece holders, two Takahashi eyepiece caps and one nosepiece cap. No original box or manual.
Also listed separately: nine Takahashi MC LE eyepieces, as singles and as matched pairs. Available pairs include: 7.5mm ED, 18mm, 24mm, 30mm. There is also a single 50mm 2". If you want the binoviewer along with one or more matched pairs, let me know and we'll work something out on the combination.
Price: $495 OBO. Price includes shipping, insurance, and PayPal fees within the CONUS. International shipping welcome at the buyer's expense. Reasonable offers considered. Additional pictures available on request.
