Binoscopes are the ultimate experience in two eyed viewing. Unlike simple binoviewers, there is no 25 percent lightloss and added abberations. The binobacks ( EMS units ) use mirrors, not prisms, so you get nearly all the light coming in transmitted to your eye. Borg 125ed F/6.4 Binoscope is the most popular. Their lightweight ( about 9 pounds per tube ) and excellent performance make them the popular choice. When coupled with a good altaz mount, they make Binoscoping a dream come true. Here is a typical Borg 125ed package:
Pair of Borg 125ed's tubes
Tandem Assembly with Losmandy dovetail
EMS Backs
Altaz mount witih Losmandy Saddle
Meade field tripod
Case for the Borgs and Tandem Assembly
$ 12,500.00 plus shipping. Delivery time about 6-8 weeks.
