Millennium is the first all-sky atlas based on the stellar positions, brightnesses, and distances measured by the European Space Agency's (ESA) Hipparcos satellite. It's a large-format observing aid designed for active field use by backyard astronomers. Produced in collaboration with ESA, Millennium includes more than 1,058,000 stars to visual magnitude 11; more than 22,000 multiple stars; and over 10,000 nonstellar objects in three beautifully bound volumes with protective slipcases’. There are 516 charts in each volume (1,548 charts in all), in three pole-to-pole gores of right ascension. Package includes Millennium Star Atlas with overlays and Celestia CD-ROM.
