 Details  Bid History

I am offering at auction my Astro-Physics 160EDF telescope, serial #50. A unique opportunity to own one of these highly sought after telescopes. The scope is in like new condition. I am the second owner and purchased this scope from Dave Jurasevich. This is the same scope that Dave used to discover the Soap Bubble planetary nebula (PN G75.5+1.7)in July 2008. A complete imaging package, this offer includes the optical tube assembly with the 4-inch rotating focuser and the case provided by Astro-Physics. Also included are a pair of matching AP rings with the appropriate Losmandy D mount dovetail plate, AP-160 Field Flattener, AP-160 Telecompressor, white light solar filter and a diffraction spike generator. A bonus accessory is a custom machined adaptor that attaches to the front of the scope for an energy rejection filter used in H-alpha imaging. ERF not included.

The telescope is yours as soon as the funds clear. You may pick it up in San Dimas, CA or I will drive up to three hours to meet the buyer. Otherwise, I will ship the telescope using your instructions. The accessories will ship in a separate package. The cost for shipping, packing, insurance, and any additional fees are the responsibility of the buyer. I will not ship this telescope without insurance. You may pay using money order, cashiers check or wire transfer, but the telescope will not ship until the funds have cleared. Sorry, CONUS only.

I'm happy to answer serious inquires. Thanks for your interest.

UPDATE: I've had numerous inquiries as to the reserve amount. To be fair for all bidders, the reserve is: $19,000.
