This auction is for a wonderfully-clean, 1995 Orion Telecompressor with two non-original caps for safe keeping.
This is designed to work specifically with the Celestron, Meade, and Orion f/10 schmidts and this will cut their focal ratio in half. It is the EXACT same lens assembly as the ones Celestron sold with the Rich Field Adapter OR the Telescompressor. However, this is the more desirable upgrade is this is multicoated, not just coated. Far better light transmission and fantastic control of any ghosting issues.
It will work with any of the non-Chinese C90s as well. Instead of f/11, they will now be f/5.5. This unit will not work on f/6.3 models or the C5 f/5. It will not work with the Mak 500 units (90mm f/5.6 Maksutovs). The reason this won't works is the eyepiece will not come to focus. Also, this is for rich field viewing, not high power planetary. As standard practice it is BEST to NOT use an eyepiece smaller than 20mm.
Conditions are very excellent cosmetics with perfect-working threads. The optics are excellent with some tiny hairline marks and very, very minor internal dust. I used this 3 weeks ago with perfect results in my C8 and on the Double Cluster.
To use this VISUALLY in your telescope, the following attachment order is as follows...
T-adapter + Telecompressor + Telecompressor T-ring + 90 degree prism diagonal
This WILL attach to ANY 35mm t-adapter by Meade, Celestron, or Orion.
All nations welcome to bid.
