I'm selling this rare and working sample of the 10x80mm WW2 German Flak Scope. I bought if from the son of the US soldier that brought it home when he returned from duty. This scope is in excellent condition with clear optics, no fungus and functioning 4 position filter cassette. Eyepiece focusing works (is not stuck).
You can read on Cloudy Nights about this scope. These can be amazingly beautiful when fully restored. The body is aluminum and the overall weight is a little over 4 pounds. There are no amber (radioactive) elements on this to worry about. This scope was also configured as the left-hand side of a binocular. Part of the reason I'm selling is to possibly help someone out there trying to restore a binocular.
Please view the photos and ask any questions. I've included some photos from the internet so you can see the restored and binocular configuration, but please understand, this auction is just for the gray (single side) telescope.
best regards,
John
