For sale: Takahashi MC Or 18mm orthoscopic eyepiece (classic multi-coated Orthoscopic / “Or” series).
Comes in the original blue Takahashi box with white label (“MC or 18mm”) and the white inner carton. Plastic wrap is still on the eyepiece as shown. Made in Japan.
These are the older Takahashi MC Orthoscopic eyepieces (Abbe-style design), known for high contrast and excellent on-axis sharpness — excellent for lunar and planetary work. Narrow apparent field (typical of the orthoscopic design).
Specs (typical for this series):
• 18 mm focal length
• Orthoscopic design
• Multi-coated
• Barrel: Please confirm size when interested (many of these classic Or series are 0.965”/24.5 mm; some later examples are 1.25”)
