Original Takahashi LE 50mm 2-inch eyepiece (TKA00531) — unused condition

Removed briefly from the original plastic bag to take pictures (lens caps were left on the entire time). New photos available that show the eyepiece more clearly than the plastic-wrapped shots. Still in the original Takahashi box, which looks brand new. Dealer label on the box reads $500.00, TKA00531, TAK LE-50MM, OCULAR 2IN (R-7.1). Barrel is marked MC LE 50mm. Because the lens caps stayed on, the optics were not inspected under a light. From the outside it appears unused.

The LE series is Takahashi’s long-eye-relief line, made in Japan, and is now discontinued. Five elements in three groups, fully multi-coated. Best matched to scopes around f/7 to f/10, and especially Takahashi Mewlon / Dall-Kirkham scopes with the CRS corrector, where the 40 mm and 50 mm were optimized for a flatter field.
