Comet 17p/Holmes is bright enough to see naked eye under city lights, it is a bright fuzzy star in the constellation of Perseus, look in the NorthEastern sky, 30 to 50 degree above the horizon, between 9:00pm and 11:00pm. The Comet is almost straight over head in the North by midnight.
If you have a Pair of Binoculars or small scope....take a look, lots of details visible.
Good Luck and Happy Halloween!
