Complete Astro-Physics 6" f/8 Christen triplet apochromatic refractor
telescope for sale $3400. Pick up in the San Francisco Bay Area
(Mountain View) only; I will not ship, and I will not sell the OTA
without the mount (but will consider vise-versa).

OTA: 6" f/8 Astrophysics Christen triplet apochromatic refractor
(signed by Roland). New paint (not a scratch), excellent (smooth)
original 2+" focuser, excellent clean optics (spec. to 1/56 wave
RMS, like the newest APs). Coatings have slight rubs in a couple
places (very small area) which do not affect image quality. Well
collimated. Superb images, but slight blue color on bright stars
and a little bit on bright planets (Jupiter & Venus but not Mars,
Saturn, or others). Some mechanical upgrades.

MOUNT: Combination of Mead field tripod and Meade German equatorial
head (don't know which model) with a short pier in between. Driven
in RA with slow motions, setting circles, polar scope, etc. Not
super pretty but holds the 'scope adequately.

Accessories included at this price:

Astro-Physics custom carrying case for OTA
Rings and mounting plate for OTA / mount
8x50 finder (right angle) with Astro-Physics quick-release bracket
Carrying bag for Meade field tripod
2" mirror diagonal (barely used)
1.25" adapter, tube caps, misc.

I have owned this 'scope for 10 years and have continuously improved
it. I'm selling it to move on to a newer AP 'scope.
