*** SALE PENDING ***
(Sale status update should be coming Monday, 3/27/17)
Mount Serial Numbers: Keypad: R1422GTO, Mount: CP3-2733

If you are looking for a vintage lower-priced Astro-Physics AP-1200 GTOCP3 Go-To mount that looks and performs like a new one, and you wish to avoid the high prices and possible wait times of a new AP-1100 or 1600, this mount may be what you are looking for. It is a vintage 2002 year model that has been fully upgraded on its hardware components, keypad and computer controller to the latest possible "GTOCP3" level of firmware and mount hardware.

(Telescopes shown in the ad pics are not included in the sale).

Mount is in outstanding condition despite its age. It has been kept in an observatory environment for most of its life and has been lightly used. There are no dents, dings, or noticeable paint blemishes on the mount.

Everything about this mount, its motors, hardware components and electronics functions flawlessly for computer-driven or manually controlled use with its included keypad and GTOCP3 computer controller.

For the duration of my ownership of the mount, it has been used an average of 25 nights per *year*.

For the past two years, mount has been stored at home in temp and humidity controlled environment.

I am to my knowledge the second owner of this mount. I purchased it from the original owner in 2007. My understanding is the original owner only lightly used it as well.

The mount is properly registered to me with Marj and Roland Christen at Astro-Physics in case you have any questions about its ownership record or purchase history. (See mount serial numbers at top of this ad in case you want to call them to verify registration).

Instrument payload capacity of the mount is 140 lbs.

Keypad was replaced with new one approx. 3 years ago and is in perfect working order.
Y-cable replaced approximately 4 years ago and is in "like-new" condition.

GTOCP3 computer controller has been updated to the latest Version "V2" ROM chip to enable the APCC mount control software to be used with the mount. Likewise, the keypad controller has also been re-programmed to the latest firmware version of V.4.19.03. The mount will function well with no probems with current Maxim DL, ASCOM, ACP, PEMPro, Sky-X, and other software typically used with this mount.

Mount routinely guides at a sub-1-arcsecond accuracy level. See attached pics of PEMPro Periodic Error analysis that I performed on this mount.

Mount has had all available hardware and computer controller upgrades installed to bring it fully to level "GTO-CP3" including the following:
 Heavy Duty Azimuth Adjuster (12AZKIT)
 Taller Polar Fork Assembly (S1200PF-B)
Heavy Duty Altitude Adjuster Assembly (12ALKIT)
1200 RA Motor Bracket Kit with Spring-Loaded Action (12SLBR)
1200 Declination Motor Bracket Kit with Spring-Loaded Action (12SLBD)

EXTRA Accessories included in listed sale price:
5 x 10 lb counterweights included, along with AP counterweight shaft designed to carry all five cw's.
1 x 5 lb counterweight also included.
1 "shorty" counterweight shaft for lighter telescope payloads also included along with the standard longer shaft.
(Above included counterweights and shaft would be over $700 if purchased new).

Optec Keller mount saddle installed that fits standard Losmandy "D"-Series dovetail plates. Extra AP saddle included (over $400 together if purchased new separately).

Mount comes pre-installed with a custom-drilled Paramount-ME mount base plate to adapt the mount onto Paramount steel piers or other piers or other adapter-to-pier plates having same mounting hole pattern.
(Pier plate would be over $100 if purchased new).

If you also need a custom-matched pier for this mount for your observatory, I will include a used Paramount 42 inch height steel pier for FREE that I used with this mount (partially shown in ad pic). It has a few paint rubs but is structurally like new and built like a tank to easily hold the AP-1200 mount and telescope payload with no flex or vibration . (If purchased new, the pier would cost over $500 with shipping).

Also included is a weatherproof Pelican-1500 carry case with all connection cables, power cable, serial cable, counterweight shaft and very reliable FTDI serial-to-USB adapter for the GTOCP3 computer-to-pc connection. (Over $200 value for case and pc adapters if purchased new).

Pyramid "PS32LAB" AC power adapter included with mount ($70 value if purchased new).

Reason for Selling:
After well over 10 years in the astro-imaging and observatory hobbies, I've decided to go back to just mobile visual astronomy and casual planetary and deep-sky mobile imaging without the infrastructure, expense, and time requirements needed to keep a full-time permanent robotic observatory up and running.

Payment and delivery terms:
**No overseas orders accepted, sorry.**

Price is firm due to well over $1500 worth of accessories included and outstanding lightly-used condition of the mount and accessories.

If you live or can meet me within 800 miles of Little Rock, AR., USA, I can deliver the mount and all its accessories to you in person by appointment. I prefer this method due to the massive amount of equipment to be delivered and the complexity and extra expense that would be required to ship it. If this is not possible for you, we can discuss alternate delivery methods and fees.

I accept cashiers check or PayPal. I am a PayPal Verified Premier member. No cash or personal checks please.
