Item for sale is a new Celestron G8-N. It is in perfect condition - was only removed from boxes and set up to make sure that nothing was broken or left out. I have all original packing material. This scope is an 8" F5, with a corrector lens which allowed the tube length to be shortened to about 20". It comes with a 9x50 finder scope, and is complete with the CG-5 GEM (and tripod), which may be equipped with 1 or both axes drives. Dust covers and a 20mm Plossl, and manual are also included. Celestron recalled my original G8-N, and sent me the re-designed model about 9 months later. In the maeantime I built my own 8" and don't need another. It is important to know that this scope has the design improvements made after the initial model was released. For instance this model has a true 2" focuser (will accept 2" eps as well as 1 1/4), and the secondary is now adjustable. The CG-5 is also the latest design with ball-bearings on the RA axis. With the shortened tube length this scope is easy to throw in your car for transporting. Asking $600. and I will cover shipping in the lower 48, or I will deliver anywhere in Michigan(lower) or northern Indiana. I accept money orders or cashiers checks, only. I can supply additional pictures and answer any questions.
