This TEC 140 is in excellent condition and I can find no issues with it. I would prefer pick up in person, but will be willing to travel a reasonable distance to meet the new owner. I've decided I need a TEC 160FL, so this has to go to pay for it. It has been stored inside in a Stellarvue case when not in use. This puts up images like what you've no doubt read about. I'm not desperate to sell this, so I doubt I'll compromise much on the price, but I won't be offended if you make an offer. I checked with the UPS Store for their shipping and packing charge and to go about 500 miles with insurance is about $250. I have used this scope with a binoviewer almost exclusively and if I end up keeping it, I will never feel disappointed. It really is a superb instrument which is easy to transport and mount. I added an upper plate (1/4 inch aluminum) with a stainless steel handle to aid in mounting and carrying, but this can be easily removed if you want. There are also mounting holes in this upper plate for a Telrad base. If you live close to SE CT and want to try before you buy, that can be arranged also. Thanks for looking.
