I have aperture fever, but I haven't got the budget to buy anything. I do however have quite a bit of computer equipment, and I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask. I am looking for a 10-inch or bigger Dobsonian. I might also consider a decent refractor in the four-inch or larger range. I wouldn't dream of turning away anyone with a good CCD camera or an eight-inch or larger SCT, but the top of my wish list is the big dob. I am located in Salt Lake City, Utah and would prefer to trade locally, but shipping is possible in return for the same.

So anyway, here is what I have got. I figured someone might have spare telescopes just like I have spare computer stuff and we could help each other out and gain something in return.

Hewlett-Packard Pavilion 6635 (tiny picture at bottom)
.533Mhz Intel Celeron processor
.10.2 Gb hard drive
.64 Mb RAM
.40x CD-ROM
.56K v90 modem
.Intel AGP 3-D accelerator
.Polk Audio speakers
.Includes the following software:
Windows 98 2nd Ed.
Microsoft Works 2000
Microsoft Money 2000
Microsoft Encarta 2000
Quicken Basic 2000
Quicklink III Fax

I will also include a KDS 7vi 17-inch monitor which uses a high res and fast refresh Hitachi CRT.

If you have an awesome scope I could install some extra RAM I have or keep the 17-inch monitor and send you a 21-inch.

If you have unused aperture, let me know!

Thanks for looking and clear skies all!

Paul McCarl
