I have a 12.5" f/6 (fl 74.6") Dob that I have been converting to a truss design. Excellent 2" thick mirror rescued from a Florida State University telescope with QSP enhanced recoating. Superb images and great focal length for both planets and DSOs. Novak primary cell with cooling fan and two secondaries: 2.6" installed and extra 1.83" for planets. Gary Russell 60mm finder with bracket and Telrad base with Daisy red dot pointer. Orion Dob mount. No EPs. Plans have taken a sharp turn so I'm selling. Truss setup is complete except for secondary cage. Mirror box, rocker, and ground board are birch plywood (5-ply mirror box, 11-ply rocker), stained, polyurethaned, and assembled, Ebony Star and Teflon on az and alt, truss tubes with foam covers are mounted to mirror box, etc. I was planning to cut off the top of the sonotube and use it for the cage. I also have a Meade Magellan 1 mounted on the sonotube version that you can adapt to the truss version (az bearing drilled for encoder and alt bearing notched for encoder). Use the sonotube version while you build a secondary cage or do as I planned and cut off the top of the sonotube to quickly complete the truss setup. Must pick up; can't ship or deliver since the tube is 80" long. $1550.
