Late 60's/early 70's Edmund Scientific "Deluxe Space Conqueror" (Palomar Jr.) reflector telescope No. 85,105
Remarkably sharp views of Jupiter from this 4.25" vintage spherical mirror. These f/10's are known to hold there own quite nicely against a wide range of 4" refractors.
It's quite unusual to find one of these 40 plus year old scopes in this condition. The OTA has no dents or dings and only a few barely noticeable surface scratches. There is some yellowing down near the mirror end. The finderscope amazingly has no nicks to the paint. The original focuser is firm and smooth. The primary and secondary coatings are still in great condition. The mount is in outstanding condition and all movements are smooth. Setting circles are without blemish. One of the legs was lost and a new one custom fabricated from solid aluminum using one of the legs as a template (you can paint to match). The leg fits perfectly, like the other two. Those four mounting holes you can see in the OTA near the focuser are for the optional camera holder (not included).
