I bought this Celestron Super C8 Plus Telescope new in the Mid 80's and used it 3-4 times. It has been stored in its trunk for about 25 years. I have EVERYTHING it came with, all user's manuals, literature, audio tape, Polaris guiding plate, lens covers, eyepiece, etc. (see photos). Everything in the photos is included. The only things not like new are the Tripod which came from the factory flaking paint on the legs - so it's a little rusty in spots (see photo), the primary mirror and secondary which seem to have some type of fungus spots on them (see photo - I used the scope recentlyand I couldn't see any effect on the optics from this), and the storage/transport trunk which has some corrosion (see photo).
It has the super accurate Byers drive with power cord. It tracks really well once aligned. Recently I decided to check everything out and left the scope tracking on Saturn, went to bed, got up several hours later and Saturn was still in the eyepiece.
The finder-scope is illuminated (red) with two polar alignment circles with cross-hairs and has two working batteries. Batteries are readily available online (these came from Amazon). The wedge has slow motion adjustments in Dec. and RA. Everything works and looks like new except for the items noted above.
The scope comes with 2 eyepieces: Celestron 26mm Plossl and 7mm Orthoscopic in like new condition.
It also includes the trunk with foam cutout for transporting the OTA.
