The 2009 star party season is winding down, so Teton Telescope is offering some serious savings on a few items remaining that were on display, as well as some deals on refurbished trade-ins and one of kind specialties.

A) Teton-LOMO 102/650 in LW tube. In like new condition and just cleaned and recollimated. AMAZING optics from LOMO...102mm f/6.4 apo triplet with factory test report housed in APM LW style tube. LW tubes feature an improved sliding focuser tube to allow for binoviewer use w/o the need of magnifying lenses as well as providing for ample backfocus for imaging applications. An added bonus is this design makes the scope incredibly compact for transport..18.5"!! Included are all stock accys. If you don't mind seeing that a dovetail had been attached to the CNC rings, you can save $750. Normally $4295, now just $3545.

B) Teton-LOMO 95/650. This scope is the demo/prototype. It spent the last couple of weeks undergoing interferometric testing and a little bit of field testing with a camera. The lab owner, who is the THE MOST stringent of any I have ever known or heard of at the interferometer relayed his findings. "This is probably the very best refractor we have ever tested." Think of the names in the market for the past 20 years and that comment speaks volumes! List price is normally $2595. Marked down because of a couple of scratches on the tube(because too long of dovetail screws were installed). You can own what may very well be the finest refractor optic ever produced for $2095.

C) Completely refurbished Celestron Ultima 11-PEC. Attractive and durable powdercoat finish. Optics are in excellent condition! Rear cell was modified in the process with the installation of a cooling fan and 2 exit ports behind the primary mirror. Focuser is very smooth and exhibits almost no image shift. Motofocus plugs directly into drive base and is operated by factory hand controller. Byers gears cleaned and relubed for superb tracking. Brand new Motodec motor added as well for completely hands-off slewing and focusing. Heavy duty wedge includes factory altitude and azimuth adjustment upgrades. Very nice rig for someone that doesn't have the need for GOTO. Marked down from $1750 to $1450!

D) Rapier 10/5.3-D Newtonian. If you know optics, you know the name Spooner is synonymous with excellence. The Rapier line feature the best optics, seamless aluminum tubes which are powdercoated to be both attractive and durable, lightweight and free flowing mirror cells, precision spiders and secondary mirrors, excellent focusers, and our unique combination of floating fan and primary baffle to insure quick cooldown. This model has been on the shelf for months now, so must go. Regularly $2520, on sale for $2295.

E) Planetary eyepieces. Overstock on 2.5mm and 3.2mm focal lengths. If you have a short focal length scope and want to get to high mags without miniscule eye relief, Planetary eyepieces are just right. Established reputation at a blowout price.
$45 each, which includes free shipping.

F) Premium O-III and UHC filters. 2" and 1.25" formats. These are also sold under a premium brand name, which is reflected in the normal price and obvious which make that is from the packaging. Save big without ascrificing quality.
2' models normally $199, on sale for $149
1.25" models normally $99, on sale for $84

G) APM Maxload alt/az mount. No other alt/az mount has anywhere near the payload capacity. Amazing build quality. Demo model for sale has a few scuffs from transport and display. Save $100. Normally $1295, now just $1195.

H) GR Mini alt/az mount. Just as nothing somes close to the payload of the MaxLoad, nothing equals the GR Mini in smoothness of motion. One unit which has a few scuffs but otherwise is still new. Normally $269, now just $229.

I) A&M hard case for refractors. Model AL 130DX, fits many 100-130mm refractors. Unique exterior finish and standard internal foam padding. Normally $339, marked down to $279.

J) Teton MN86. Tube repainted Teton blue. Super clean optics. Sought after corrugated vent tube baffles. Completely redesigned primary mirror cell, which drops 4 lbs and improves cooldown, super smooth dual speed Crayford focuser. Will give a 7-8" apo a run for it's money at the eyepiece, yet weighs 50% less and is only 1/10 the cost. Just $3195.

K) 90/600 FW. Another one of a kind creation from Teton Telescope. We had an extra WO SuperApo tube which were used to house the LOMO 80/600. Also on hand was an extra Ohara FPL-53 air spaced triplet objective used in the AT90EDT. After calculating light cone to baffle size, the main tube section was reversed and an adapter machined to accept the 90mm lens. The dewshield was then honed out an extra 2mm for a 'fits like a glove fit'. Those are the details. Here's the result.
A 90mm f/6.7 triplet that weighs 6lbs!! Rotateable 2" dual speed Crayford focuser, scope, and padded alum case. $1495, on sale now for $1295.

L) RC 320IM. Intes Micro 12.5" Ritchey-Chretien with optics no R-C can match. I requested IM build this scope to display at NEAF, asking them to take special care since it was to be displayed to thousands. I was talking about the fit and finish. They must have thought I was talking about the optics. The lab technician had to test it twice because he thought he had made an error. 1/8.8 wave surface accuracy! Some of the Chinese products today are touting bogus claims about 1/10 wave+ optics, when in reality they are a hair over 1/4 wave. A smooth aspherized mirror of 320mm aperture and darn near 1/9 wave is absolutely unheard of. Call to make an offer.

M) 15" f/4.5 StarSplitter II Dobsonian. My personal light bucket for several years now. Gorgeous Mahogany finish, excellent motion, JMI focuser(with new drawtube), primary recently tested by Ostahowski(1/5 wave), then recoated by Nova. Inlcludes Telrad, pole storage bag, scope cover, secondary bag, cooling fan, pneumatic tires and handles, and screw on counterweight. $2850

N) TeleVue 31mm Nagler Type 5. I love this eyepiece, but the new Dob is f/3.5, so this must be replaced with a shorter focal length for widest field observations. $450

O) Parallax 125 German Equatorial Mount. Spectacular stablity and payload capacity. Was purchased to support my long focus Newtonian, which I am now using with a Dob mount. Has DSC's with JMI Max computer. Drive conroller is Losmandy digital with matching hand controller. Features a unique combination of flat mounting plate, along with Losmandy D and Vixen dovetail adapters. Stainless steel pier also available. $2400 for mount. $2700 with pier.
