This LX200R comes fully equipped for astrophotography, and is also a great visual observing telescope. Meade's new advanced "R" design produces a wonderfully flat field, as compared with traditional SCTs, and the UHTC coatings improve light transmission significantly. This scope was recently Supercharged by Dr. Clay Sherrod, so the optics, mechanicals, and electrical systems are all in better than new condition.

The combination of the custom-fitted JMI case and the 8" LX200R make for an easily transportable long focal ratio telescope. When the scope is in the case, the dead weight is 32kg or 70lbs. This is much more compact than transporting the scope in the original shipping box, and the JMI case offers excellent protection against the inevitable knocks and bumps while transporting the scope.

Asking $2,700 - includes $1,000 worth of extras!

Willing to share the cost of shipping - all original boxes from Meade & JMI will be used to ship this unit

Includes all standard kit from Meade, plus:

- William Optics SCT 2" diagonal ($200 value)
- Supercharge recent service including Dr. Clay's SKYPAK CD ($500 value)
- Dew heater for corrector plate - home made nickel-chromium wire 12v ($50 value)
- ADM mini dovetail top rail piggyback system, with camera mount & two 5"/12.5cm rings ($300 value)
- Meade counterweight system ($100 value)
