Hi group,
Last buyer had a change of interest. I think many were put off by the fact that the optics were in need of cleaning so prior to posting again, I sent this unit to Meade to have the optics cleaned. It arrived last week and the scope is in near mint condition. In addition, it was supercharged by Dr. Clay 6+ months ago and has performed flawlessly since. I was able to to reduce PE to about +/-6 using Pempro. I primarilly worked with this scope using an SBIG ST2K. It yeilded about 0.54 arc per pixel, evenso, GOTO's were usually on the chip if not a nudge or two away. Built in dew heater and 4 speed microfocus complete the setup as being a very capable platform in the right hands. It's extreamly steady if you use computer control since you don't introduce vibrations. It'g big and heavy which is advantageous if you don't have to move it often or ever.
The scope is very clean, no scratches from use.. not even on the tripod. I have a mitty evolution wedge (pictured) that I will consider including to the most reasonable offers.
All original equiptment is included in original condition, manuals, cables, etc. I will also include the AC power adapter which I believe is optional and also a wireless autostar and receiver which is a neat addition.
The pictures I am posting are from the summer.. nothing has changed except the optics are now pristine with no accumulation of dust. The unit is packed in the box ready to be shipped. When it arrived from Meade, I opened it, powered it.. tested it a little and placed it back in the box.
