For Sale: Tasco 60mm Japan GEM mount 1970's

This is a somewhat funky but working Tasco mount from the 1970s' or 60's. It came with a 60mmm x 1000mm tube. The clamshell is somewhat unusual in that it is part of the mount and cannot be removed. Some of the knobs, the counterweight and shaft were replaced a few years ago. (The originals were lost).

The good: it works fine. I've tracked planets at 150x with no problems.

The bad: it has mange, chipped paint, scrofuligia, scurvey, halitosis and even some rust here and there.

The legs work fine but the metal work is ugly with the prior mentioned bad problems. They will extend to 40+ inches. You can buy the mount without the legs, but I prefer not to sell the legs seperate until the mount sells.

Asking $80 or best offer. Shipping $17.50 Paypal, money order, checks, local pickup.
