For Sale: Three year old Orion 10" SkyQuest Dobsonian telescope complete with 2" eyepiece adapter, 8 x 50 ST finderscope and mount, center-marked primary mirror, dust cap. Base side trim glue is weakening which I will replace and the finderscope is worn (I use a red-dot finder w/ it), otherwise all is fine. Always in its bag when not in use, this is a very fine amateur scope with many years of great service left in it. Gives bright, richly contrasty views of highly resolved DSO's as a good 10" scope should. Summer's southern sky is hours of drifting with this trusty instrument and I can hardly leave M42. The moon is breathtaking throughout its phases. Works great with low powered erfles, higher powered plossls, and holds up really well at very high powers. I have had very good results on better nights using a 3.8mm Lanthunum. Easily set up and transported, selling only to fund another purchase. Hope I'm doing the right thing as I've really treasured this scope.
Thanks for looking!
